tinylogo.png How to create a new campaign

  • Under 'messaging' click ' send messages'.
  • Click on mac_screenshot.png  and choose whether to create a blank campaign or a gig reminder.
    • A gig reminder can be associated with an existing date on your calendar, or you can create one. This will prepopulate some fields in the email message based on your show information.
    • A blank campaign let's you start from scratch.
  • Once you choose a name for your campaign (or choose which date you would like to promote) add different channels to your campaign by clicking on mac_screenshot-1.png  and choosing email, Facebook, or Twitter. (See 'How to link your Facebook and Twitter accounts' on this page to learn how to setup your Facebook and Twitter connections.)

tinylogo.png How to create an email template

  • Everyone starts with a starter design which is the default template used for email messages. But this template is boring, and we bet you can make something better.
  • To create a new template click the mac_screenshot-3.png button. Once the new template appears, click on mac_screenshot-4.png to begin customizing your template.
  • At any time, you can click the mac_screenshot-5.png button to see a preview of your customized template.
  • If you would like even further control over your template click the mac_screenshot-6.png button to be able to edit the HTML and CSS of your template. You can always switch back to the basic editor later.

tinylogo.png How to upload graphics

  • Under 'messaging' click on ' graphics library'.
  • Click on mac_screenshot-2.png
  • Choose which file(s) you would like to upload (you can choose multiple files to upload at the same time).
  • Files you upload here will be available to insert into email templates and individual email messages.

tinylogo.png How to choose recipients for your message

  • Find the mac_screenshot-8.png button next to the campaign you want to choose recipients for.
  • Choose which group you would like to send to, or select your entire list. Click on mac_screenshot-10.png to create a new segment of your fans to send to.
  • You can select multiple groups, and the 'queued' number will update with the total number of recipients you're targeting.

tinylogo.png How to connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts

  • Under 'messaging' click on 'settings'.
  • Click on either the facebook.png or the twitter.png to connect the respective social network.
  • Follow the steps to login and authorize Nimbit to post message to your accounts.

tinylogo.png How to schedule a message

  • Find the mac_screenshot-7.png button for the channel you would like to schedule.
  • Choose the date and time (in Central Time) that you would like the message sent. If you're having trouble calculating the time in Central Time, this should help.

tinylogo.png Known issues

  • Nimbit Messaging is currently in beta and some features may not function as expected. We're aware of the following issues and are working hard to address them.
    • Speed: Messaging currently runs more slowly than we would like. If something takes a few moments to load, please be patient. If something just plain doesn't work, that's different and please feel free to open a support ticket.

Delays

Surely you could easily display the current time (according to you) on the schedule form to make it way less hassle?

@Andrew Thank you for the feedback! We're working hard to make the scheduling process much easier, including a better handling of multiple timezones.

Hi.  I sent a test newsletter to two people, and in one of them, images didn't show up and things looked really unprofessional.  How do I make it consistent?  I have not messed with any html.    It took me all day to learn how to use this thing and now it doesn't work.  I'm pretty frustrated, especially since I am paying for the pro package.
